About us

Cabana 71 is a South Texas, family owned Company.   We were fortunate to grow up in a small town, surrounded by people who supported and encouraged each other, our community and country.  Like many of our peers, our families set examples for us by working hard to start and own their small business.  Integrity, service, and quality were non-negotiable cornerstones for these businesses, as well as making them enjoyable places to be.   With our grandfather's no non-sense business attitudes (my husbands grandfather and mine) combined with my mothers love of nature and my fathers love of a great time ..... it's amazing that we didn't start this business sooner! 

Generations and generations, grandparents and parents alike, all held a love of the water, the land, and all that live in it. My father grew up on the river. My mother, the beach, therefore, NO matter the body of water, or location, we were always in it! Fishing, skiing, snorkeling, sailing, sinking golf balls, floating or rafting rivers, in a pool, by a trough, or a sprinkler, frozen water, snow or slushy ice... always looking for adventures on or in the water! Regardless of where or how, this was our family happy place, "a vacation state of mind"!

Our lives have always been full of great motion, so we "have traveled a million miles an hour, to slow down" for a different kind of motion. 

We spend much of our time near the coast with my mom, in her happy place. We sit by the ocean, watch the dolphin, the turtles , the birds, the people. We breathe in the smell of happy times and vacation state of minds, still looking for adventures....... and I sketch. While trying to find a creative outlet for a busy decorators mind and bodies in motion, CABANA71 was born. 

Once again, I am offered a great gift of time with my mother, appreciating the water way of life( 71% of the earth is covered in water). You will find Cabana 71 all over the world, by, near or in, all kinds of water....

For the love of STYLE, COMFORT, and QUALITY, clothing and accessories..., the love of adventure, the love of a vacation state of mind.... and the love of my mother..., we are excited to bring you art that is Texas created, locally printed & USA produced !
